Hi, I'm Jennifer — the hands, heart, and sewing machine behind every single item in this shop.

My sewing journey began in 2014, when my mother-in-law sat down with me and taught me to sew. What started as a skill passed down with love quickly became a passion I couldn't put down. By June 2017, I turned that passion into Lucky Elefant Designs, and I haven't looked back since.

Every item in this shop is made to order — just for you. I'm based in Oak Ridge, North Carolina, and I sew each piece myself, from our cozy tablet pillow stands and waterproof bags to our scrunchies, lanyards, reusable bowl covers, and LED accessories. Nothing is mass-produced. Nothing sits in a warehouse. When you place an order, I get to work.

A Mission Close to My Heart

In April 2022, I was diagnosed with ILC breast cancer. In June 2022, I had a double mastectomy — the first of eight surgeries, including two reconstructions. It was one of the hardest seasons of my life. But it also gave me a deeper understanding of what it means to need comfort, care, and something made with love during recovery.

That experience is woven into everything I make. My chemo port pillows and mastectomy recovery pillows are designed with real patients in mind — because I've been there. I know what it feels like to need something soft, practical, and made by someone who truly cares. It's my honor to support the cancer community and anyone walking a difficult recovery road.

The Woman Behind the Machine

When I'm not sewing, I'm a proud wife to my husband — a retired Marine — and mom to two college-aged daughters. Twenty-plus years of military family life taught me resilience, adaptability, and the value of showing up for the people you love. Those same values show up in every stitch I make.
